There have, within a few months past, two or three American merchants established them- selves in business here; but they are looked upon as in- traders, and a mest bitter feeling is evideat among the old rettiers. Something like two months ago a roport was ciroulated ‘that threo men, who hadaranch near the ‘Moin,’ the point on the river Serapiqni, from which the mail road branches off towards San Jose, bad been upset in a cance and two of them drowned.
