We have late arrivals from Cape Florida and from Tortugas—extremeties of the Reefs—but from neither or from intermediate stations do we learn of any wrecks. Gales have no doubt occurred within the past week in this latitude, for the weather here has indicated their neighborhood most unmistake- ably—but our coast has fortunately escaped. We look for distressed vessels from the Gulf daily, seek- ing this place for repairs, but up to this time none are reported. The fall of rain during this and the past month has never been exceeded, we believe. Had it occurred earlier in the season sickness would have followed. Now no danger can be apprehended.
