The om'erart train left Altoons at 4:20 |’. M., and was followed by the loca! freight train westward, which left Altoona at 6.1517. M. While the emigrant train was standing at the station, shifting out the assistant engine, the jocai freight {reia came through the tunnel and rup into the emigraal cars, causing the death of six passengers, and more or less ipvring tom or twelve others.
