Foster, commander, in search of the wrecked French steamship Lyounais and ber boaw. Unfortunate'y, we Dave not been able to gain apy information or discover the least vestige of the objects we were in bopes of rescuiag, although the utmost diligence ‘was used, and a complete sud thorough lookout kept up tbe whoe voyage. The Gret three days out were unfs- ‘vorable for us, as the wiather was cloudy, with a high oa running and frequent squalls of batl, raim aed snow, ‘All the yousels we spoke reported very heavy weather for the \ast ten or fifteen days, but mone of them could give vs any information of the lost steamer. Ta conclusion, I would take this opportunity to reader thanks to Captain Foster for bis untiring exertions and Constact watch/ulness, as well as for the able seamanship and uniform gentiemanly bearing dispiayed by bim throughout the who'e of this trying and anxious crulse. On Monday the whole list, com- prising thirty-six names, was exhausted after procuring four jurors. A special venue was then issued for two hundred jurors, which was made returnable at 2 o’olock yesterday afternoon, to which time the court had adjourn- ed. It waa found imporsible, however, in the brief in- terval that elapsed, to seoure the attendance of more than twelve out of that number, and the same difficulty was experienced as On the provious day im obtaining s At 3 o'clock the court room was crowded, and the inte- rest appeared tobe umabated.
