ELKCTION OF TWO SETS OF TRUSTEES. ‘The cown town party of the John street church held a mecting at the church last evening, for the purpose of boldixg an avnual election for trustees. As the law re- quires the i¢gal election to be beld in the church, this party bas retained pesteesion for the last six weeks by keeping guard day and night, most of the guard being ladies. Lastevening there was an attendance of about ‘one hundred persous, and there was so much anticipation of a difficuity that several policemen were present.
