A special meeting of this committee was held last night at the whig headquarters in Broadway, to con- sider the acticn of the Whig Executive Committee, which met on Monday night last at the same place ‘The President, Zophar Milla, was in tho chair, and C. W. Schaffer and Frecerick Frye acted as Secretaries. The proceedings of the Joint Executive Committee, of Mon- day night last, were read and approved, so far as affix- ing the time of tolaing the whig primary elections on the afternoon of Friday next, one week from to day. The entire proceedings of the Executive were adopted, excepting the piace of holding the polls of the Third Congressional district, which were trancferrei from the Astor Houte to Patten’s Hotel. Most of the evening was taken up by @ discussion among the é:fferent politicians of the respective claims of the various candidates for office.
