Adopted. THE OPANING OF ALBANY STREET. A motion was made by Mr. I'nye that document 69, covtaining tbe report of the Committee on Streets, in favor of opening Albany street, be taken up for the purpose of making @ motion, making it special ordtrof Friday next. The motion was passed, after which another was made by Mr, Jac- SON, to the effect that the report be recommitted to the committee. Mr. Fsyr moved that the report be made the spe- clal order for Friday night. Mr. Sreuey desired to know why this subject was recommended. Mr. Kennxpr replied that it was because the par- ties bad not been heard before the committee as do- sired. Ho wished to avk Mr. Frye if the committee had given them a hearing. Mr. Frye said that trey had no hearing, ae because it was not known that they wanted one, it was not till after the report was made that they asked for a hearing. Mr. Kunngpy said that if the parties had been beard, it waa not likely that the committee would bring in different’reports. Mr. Coorer was opposed to a further*postpone- ment of the eubje t. Mr. Wit said that the parties had never been heard by the committee, and he was astonished when the majority report of the committee was banded to him for his signature. He asked Mr. Fryo toe cause of thie, and he was told that tho parties did not ark to be beard.
