Genevieve, Captain Gray, the pilot, accompanied by an Englishman, undertook to explore the great cave situated three miles above that place, taking with them a lamp, ladder, They entered the cave about eight o’c lock on Tee day eveniug, and had advanced a distance of nearly two miles when their lamp was unfortunately broken and extinguished.
