At ‘the fing pogrd today, some of ene leading fancies were pretty active, but prices were not sustaired. Miming stocks were firm at previous prices. We notice sales of Ohio Lead atd Marble Company, on time, buyer's and seller's option. It opened at 2, and clored at 2?,. These ope- rations are the Grat we have noticed for # long time, and the probability is that the stock wil {ter be more active. New York Central bonds were freely offered to- Gay, and sales were mace to some extent, at yesterdey’s pricas, Florence and Keyport has lately been operated in to scme extent, but the market value is considersbly depreared, Back stocks are daily sold in small lots. The absence of the steamer has an unfevorable effect on Wall street matters, The Baltic ia fully due, with four days’ Inter news, and we cannot look for avy material variation in avy of our markets until her advices come to hand, ‘The steamship Afrioa, from this port for Liverpool, to- day, carried out $909,628 91, in specie. Beard, do, The report of the Reading Yew Orlaaas by ‘lroad Company gives fall fand favorable «counts of its operations during the past year, The managers have deslared dividends of S34 per sent on the preferred, and 4 per cent on the common stock, making 7 per cent on each for (he yea, and leaving @surplus of $52,152 89. A’ter making the payment of interest on the floating debt, and appropriating $100,009 to the sinking fund, (equal to 1), per cent on the amount of preferred and common stock outatanding ) there still remained « fund equal to7 per cect for both classes of stockholders, and a surplus of $62,15289.
