The mail steamer Illinois arrived this morning with the specie which we noticed yosierdsy as being on the way frem California. The Pacific Muil Steamship Company have reduced the “rates of freight on gold dust to the old turfff, but have added a new charge of five per cent upon the amount of ‘Isthmus transportation, in addition to the usual primage ‘on freight, Meney was in demand in San Francisco at ‘three te four per cent per month. The bankers were drawing sight bills on New York, at three per cent, and ‘the Price Current notices that some bills hed beon drawn at half per cent below that rate, and estimates that in Buch cases no profit could have beem made on the opera- ctioms, State seven per cent bonds were quoted at $4 a 85.
