Mr. WAKEMAN opposed this resolution. The Board of Directors did not arrest the girl—it was dons upon the oMidavit of Mr. Fox, the cashier of the bank, in whose house she lived. The directors wanted to do justice to everybody. Mr. Summers had said that the offering of a reward for the thieves, without the money, would bring them. At any rate, the characters of the directors wo live down any aspersions that might be cast upon them ina public meeting. Prmk Bewtiry, President of the bank, was astonished at the resolution.
