The Hartford Bank has declared a dividend of three | dollars and fifty cents per share, payable om demand. In the New Jersey Court of Error and Appeals, last week, Governor Pennimgton made a motion in the case of Anderson and others against the New York and Erle Railroad Company, on appeal. The company having pur- | chased the Paterson and Hudron River Railroad, in the | course of remodelling the bridge across the Passaic, at Acquackanock, propored to erec' © piers, and alter | the direction of the bridge, in such a way, according to the allegations of the plaintiffs, as would interfere with the free navigation of the river. The chancellor refused the in- junction, but granted an order to stop the work until the Present time, and Governor Pennington’s motion was to continue this order. The Court refused it. ‘The North American Fire Insurance Company have de- clared a semi-annual dividend of ten per cent. ‘The Atlantic (Lewrence) Cotton Mills Manufacturing Company have declared « dividend of three per eent, | payable December 2d. This is its first regular dividend, | and the company went into operation in June, 1849. The Bank of New York, the charter of which will ex- pire omthe Sist of December, has given official notice that an association, under the general banking law, will commence business under the same name on the 3d of January. A final dividend of thirty eight and » half per cent, the profits ofthe bank, will be paid te its stock- holders om the lst imst., and om the same day an instal- ment of fifty per cent, om the additional capital of the new bank, will be required to be paid, whem certificates of the stoek will be issued. The Buffale, Corning and New York Railroad Com. pany are in the market with one hundred and fifty thousand of their first mortgage seven per cent coupon bends. These bonds will be seld at auction to the high- est bidderom Wednesday, the 16th of December, at the Merchants’ Exchange. They are for one thousand dol- lara cack, and mature on the Ist of April, 1867, and the | interest is payable semi-amnually—April and October— at the Bank of Commerce, im this city.
