Jones in Ann strect; Justice McGrath was with me. Cross-examined—I did not tell Philander T. Jones what I wanted with him when I arrested him; I merely said 1 wished him to accompany me to the station house; Imay have told him that I did not come to arrest him; wher we went to the station house, he eat down; I think 1 told him to go into a little room, where he slept; I think this occurred in the spring of 1649.
