The dividend for July, 1861, is less than that of July, 1850, $5,547 39, The net earnings up to the Ist of June, 1851, had been sufficient to give semi-annual dividends ranging from one-and-a-half to two-and-a half per cent, and there is, therefore, no doubt but that the fature dividends will steadily increase to an extent corres- ponding with the inorease in the netearnings. Monthly returns show a steady increase in the gross receipts; and as the system of expenditures has been great- ly improved, there is every resson to believe that the ne! income will hereafter be a larger per cent on the aggre- gute receipts, The dividend for the year ending July, 18651, was four per cent on the par value, and for the yer ending July, 1852, the dividend will be five per eent on the par value. There is no doubt of this. It therefore appears to us that the present market value of the stock 8 @ great deal below its actual value.
