Buspay, July T—6 P.M. Whre stock market, during the past week, has been quiet, and prices have not materially varied from those previously current. This is usually dullest season of the year. Prices generally fall off during mid-summer—the result of holders realizing previous to leaving towm. Thus fer, the market has been well maintained, and much less anxiety is exhibited to dis- pose of stoek, than iw eetivity among operators, The easy m and the prospeet of it fafiuenee upon holders, and enables them to carry stocks with: y important saorifiee in the way of interest. It does not, however, incline others to buy, or have any effect at present in inflating prices. By the time the road is completed to Dunkirk, nearly twenty- of dollars will have been expended 0; whieh is mortgaged to the first and seeond class of Dondbolders. These bonds amount to seven millions of dollars, and they will then be secured by mortgages om property consisting of more than three times that sum, There is not railroad in the country, of any magnitede, the first class seourities of which are so well secured as those of the Erie Railroad The annexed comparative statement exhibits t qnotations in this market, for the principal speoula- tive stocks, for exch day of the past week, and at close of the week previous.
