For the first three months this year the gross carnings were nearly fifty per cont larger than for the samo period last year. ‘This looks woll, and is andicative of good management and a prosperous posi- tion of tho company’s affairs. The receipts for tho smonth of March, 1849, were nearly two thousand dollars larger than for tho first three months of 1845, and early as largo as those for tho first threo months of 4846. It must, however, be borno in mind that tho ro- -coipts this year are from the business of thirty miles moro road, and from the traffic of the New Haven Rail- road Company transported over a portion of the Har- lem road.
