Biyer Excitement— The Annual Assay at the Mint— Surcide. ‘The Hyer excitement continues unabated, and the public curiosity to obtain a glance at the great wowhipped, leads to many amusing scenes. Thig morning, a large crowd gathered at the Court House, it being supposed that he would be brought wp for heanng before Judg: Parsons. At length the prison van drove up, and the b’hoys and loafing gentry, of which the admirers of the fancy mostly eonsist, were in ecstacies of expectation, The efficers im attendance, ready for a joke, bustled about, and having induced the jostling crowd to form a passage, trom the street to the court room door, page | brought out a poor negro boy, which proved te be the only person ia the van.
