Philndetphia Cattle Market, Oct. 7.—Offerings of the week consist of 1400 Beef Cattle, mostly from Pennsylvania, including 320 sold for New York; 150 cows and calves; 500 hogs, and 1200 sheep andlambs. Prices —Seeves—Nearly all sold within the range of $5 25 a $676 the 100 Ibs. Cows and calves more brisk at $20 a $35 for fcosh;/$12 $23 for springers, and $7.0 $12 for dry cows. A subscriber writes us, from Greene county, Alabama, (Sept. 22,) that the continued rains, with the eatly ap- pearance of the boll-worm,have injured considerably the cotton erop in Green, Marengo, Pickeus,and Sumter coun- ties, Ala., and also in the adjoining counties of Noxubee and Lowndes, in Mississippi. In the county ef Lincoln and in theCourtland Valley, Tennessee, the plant ir waid to be loaded down with Lotte, and if not affected by the rains, promises a handsome yield, The corn, through- out the whole country is uncommonly promising, and the quantity sufficient, if it be necessary, to feed agaiu the whole of Europe.—New Orleans Delta, Sept. 30.
