It is our impression that the ag- gregate will exceed thatamount. The recent improve- ment in prices for breadstufis in England will, without doubt, give an impetus to the forwarding of supplies trom the interior to the seaboard, to take advantage of any de- mand that may arise fer exportation after the close of in- ternal navigation. This will give increased activity to our works of internal improvement, and swell the tolls toa much larger amount than was generally anticipated = few weeks since. We havo repeatedly urged the policy of forwarding everything to market this fall, to as great an extent as possible, for several reasons. Better prices will rule betwoon this and next May than after; froights will ‘be much lower between this and the close of navigation, than for some time after the opening of the canals in the spring, when every one will be pressing forward their sup- plies. The advantages of the winter market and theearly spring demand, when stocks have becomemuch reduced are so well known, that we trust the producers will avail themselves of every day of canal navigation to get their crops of grain into the Atlantic ports. ‘The rapid improvement in tne finsnoial condition of Pennsylvania is a matter of much astonishment, to not only every citizen of th3t State, but to the bondholders generally. The annual increase in the revenue, and re- duction in expenditures, operates with a two-fold influ- ence in restoring the credit and financial prosperity of the State.
