The Extraordinary Correspondence between the Com- mittees of the Radical and Conservative Sections of the Democratic Party, $c. §c. A somewhat curious and important ‘correspondence between the committees of the sections of the democra- tic party in this county, has lately appeared in the paper that is sustained by the radical section, and published It has been announced that this corres pondence was begun by the committees of the sections, in obedience to a resolution of the late Democratic State Convention, which solemnly/and imperatively enjoined ‘upon the sections the supreme importance of a satisfac- tory and permanent adjustment of the difficulties, in this locale, that have repeatedly overwhelmed the demo- cratic party of the entire State. this correspondence is unnecessary; in it each of the sections, through their committees, have expressed an earnest wish for the termination of the quarrel; but in order to arrive at an object so proper and desirable, nei- ther of the committees , has made a suggestion or speci- fication in which the other concurred ; tho negotiation was, therefore, a failure, though it is hoped it will be re- sumed and attended with happier feelings and results. In this correspondence the committee of the radical section have made a stipulation that lifts the curtain of ‘and — discloses they have pursued through whole years, with a, tenacity od in any politi consolidation of th the Argus and Atlas was an indispensal to the successful termination of the ‘nogotiaton, or the union of the fections. With this view they proposed were united, a committe appointed to select an editor for the consolidated paper} this oxtraordinary committee was to consist of Martin Van Buren, tho ex-president, Greene C. I have no personal concern in this struggle, except that which is induced when I see bloodhounds hunting a noble stag to the death. Mr. Ruggles, one of the democratic candidates for Judge of the Court of Appeals, has just returned from Florida, in improved health, Gen, Dix, of the U. 8.
