There are a class of men doing business in Wall street, on commission, who are generally members of the old board of brokers, arid as strange as it may appear, never interest themselves in uny speculation any further than purchasing for those who may favor them with their orders, For atrifling commission they buy and sell at the board, and in theircapacity, standing between the buyer and seller, theirtransactions are perfectly honor- able and above board. Like those doing a commission business in anything else, they have the interest of their employers in mind, and where the use of their judgment is required, they freely give it, as formed by a careful in, In the case alluded to an in- dividual went into the street and employed a commission house to purchase for him a certain amount of a certain State stock.
