There are those in our city who even venture to give the palm of preference to M. We instinctively premise a full and fashionable assembly. ‘The wails of Old Drury literally groaned on Mon- day evening, with the beanty and elite of the city, upon the occasion of the first_appearance ot Ole Bull, and the reception of the Chevaliert for enthu- siasm, exceeded anything ever witnessed in this city, not excepting even the Elssler rage. Op‘nions here confirm those of your city, that the young Chevalier is the prince of performers on the Cre- mona, and without an equal in the known world. He was frequently interrupted during his perform- ances, and compelled to acknowledge his grateful thanks by many a bow. | The box list is overrun for his next appearance on Thursday night. x At the National Theatre, the drama of the “Kin, ofthe Mist,” continues to be the attractive card,an commands crowded benches, _ At_this establish- ment, on next Saturday evening, Mr. E.
