Growra or Sr Lovis.—The St. Louis Repub- lican states that nearly three hundred buildings are in course of erection in that city. Many of them are substantial and valuable brick edfices. Five hundred houses have been completed in St. Louis this year, and, with a few exceptions, they are all built of brick? Sixty of the houses ‘now going up are fot stores, and have been built to supply a de- mand. Several hindsome charches, commenced this season, are nearly completed.
