Avoruer Murper—The Brownsville Phcenix says, that on the night of the 24th ult., a murder was committed on the body of Mr. Thos. Branch, arespectable citizen of Haywood county. Four negroes have been arrested, one of whom confessed he struck the first blow, and that the others repeated ut. The attack was made in the night, while Mr. Branch was ia bed and asleep. After the commis- snot the deed the body was removed to a neigh- boring cane brake, where it was discovered horri- bly mangled.
