BY THE SOUTHERN MAIL. ee Tue Strate Works. —Among the rumors Sof yes- terday was one that Mr. Jaudon wasgoing to Europe in the Hibernia to endeavor to arrange for the sale of the main line of the public works to, some of the State creditors. It is said he goes with the appro- bation of Governor Porter. This goes to confirm another rumor which hasbeen afloat for some time, viz: that for good, substantial and sufficient reason: his Excelleney would see the advantages to be de rived from the bill, and would sign it.—Philadeephia Gazette, May 13. Nerve ond Bone Liniment,” he being satisfied from what cures he hadecen effected, that I might at least find relief, if not apermanent cure. I objected to making any trial, nothaving faith inany medicines, having ex. nded several hundred Lary for all remedies that kind riends had recommended. I gave upall hopes of ever being relieved from my most excruciating pain, which I had at intervals, but by death, and J did not Po able, from my jary situation, to furnish myself with the above medicines, but this friend, knowing my wants, kindly furs f es hy being satisfied that 1 would find das has been truly sard that the use of it once will dispel all doubt, and make the sufferer ita most efficientfriend. After using this one bottle] was imme- ciately relieved, and so well satisfied that 1 have used no other medicines since, and can safely say that no other remedies that I have made use of for the last 15 years past, have been of any use tome butthe above named The first attack that I had of the rheumatism was when I was 19 years of age, making 23 years that I have been afflicted with this complaint, snd during a good portion of this time Ihave been unable to attend my ordinary ayocations, and at the timeof my first using this m ine Thed been for more than a month in s1 ay a situation that 1 could not move my limbs without assistance, and by making use of these two bottles I was relieved, and again placed on my feet, and have ever since, by its use, been enabled to attend to busin and that more arduous than I have been en- abled to attend to for the past ten years. I therefore,cheer- fully recommend, and with great confidence, these in. valuable specifics to those who are afflicted with gout or rheumatic complaints. It may be well for me here to re ‘k that in the directions for its usefthe patient is direct- ed “to take a very light diet, such as corn gruel, light chicken broth or fresh meat, and avoid all considerable exercise and exposure.” Such it may be well for seme orallto follow, but in my case I made no difference in my diet or exercise, more thaa usual, and much more ex: posure to the cold weather than heretofore, for much of the time the past winter I have been travelling in differ. ent parts of the State. The proprietor has, however, omitted (probably from want of experience) one impor: tant direction in the use of his valuable Indian Vegetable Elixir and Liniment, which should be strictly followed by every patient making use of the same, if they ever pect to be relieved from this korrid complaint, which isa total abandonment at once and forever, of the use of in. toxicating liquor, and a cure may be retied o JEREMIAH T.
