Whatever may be the Terms upen which s general Pexce fhall be concluded, you may cflure yourfelves they will be advantageous to this Counuy : The Eyes of Great Britain are fixed upon it : She fees the Importance of her North American Dominions. The Defence of them was the firft occefion of the War ; their Safety will be & principal obj:& of the Peece. 1 have nothing now to stk of you for the King’s immediate fervice : There will be wanted & fupply to make good your former Grants; for which pur- pofe the Tresfurer will have order to lay before ycu the prefent Rate of the Treafury. I fheil be glad when ell extraordinary Expences fhall ¢eale, znd the Peopie fhall be left to enjoy the fruits of their Labours with- out any spprehenficn of Danger.
