They are tsbe al- lowed to have Harbours at Miquelon and St. Peter’s, in which Hlands they may have a Fort, with only fifty Men as Garrifon, and fubjed to the Infpeétion of an Englith Commifiary. Haddick, who was gone to Drefden. His Royal Highnefs attack- ed the enemy at day break, and the alion laft- ed 'till two. in the afternoon, when the enemy was intirely routed, and obliged 1o quit the Jield of battle, and the town of Freybeurg, to the Pruffians 5 who tock befides from five to fix Thoufand Prifoners, 30 Cannon, and [eve- ral colours and Standards. Exprefs upon exprefs has been fending off . daily from our courts to the moft of the other courts in Europe, ail tending, as is faid, to the re-eflablithment of Peace, which, it is confidently reported, the Emprefs Queen, by her minifter, had declared fhe will have no concern in. By a Gentleman, arrived yefterday from France we are informed, that the demon- ftrations of joy amongft the Frencli, on the Preliminaries being figned, was inconce- vable, and fuch as have never before been remembered in that Kingdam, Itis faid, that a Ceflation of arms will take placein the Channel in feven Days,and in Germany in 14 Days from the Date of the figning the preliminaries, & the packets will go in a few Days from Dover to Calais, as ufual in time of peace, Paris, O&. 5. We bear that the Duké of Bedford is gone over 1o be prefent at the cpening of the Britifh parliament, in which the preliminaries are expeéied to occafion warm debates.
