Richardfon arriyed here in 18 days from Antigha, and informs us that feveral Fiench privateers have been lately taken and carried into that 1{land, by the frigates under the command of Commodore Douglafs. Capt. Parker late of the Snow Argo, of this port, who was cariied into martineco sbout fix weeks ago, came paflenger with Capt. Richardfon ; he fays, afew days before he left Martineco, two’frigates, s new General, and 250 foldiers, arrived there from France, thet the inhabitants were caily in expeCtaion of a vifit from the Englifh, and many of them did not care how foon they arrived, being thoroughly fenfible of the [weets of the Englifh conftitution from their brethren of Guadaloupe.
