They write from Ratifbon, that an order was pub- lifhed there, that no news, whatfoever, thould be printed in their news papers in favour of the king of Pruffia. The Saxon troops having withdrawn themfelves from the Pruflian fervice, that monarch {t' ~ught pro- per to publifh a declaration, that he would punifh thofe with the utmott feverity who did not return to their duty ; inflead of which, they joined the French army; the king of France has therefore iffued out a‘mepancing — declaration, in which he juflifies the condult of the .° Saxons, and threatens, that if the king of Pruflia puts his threats into execation, he will, by way of reprifal, punith every Pruffian that fhall fall into his hands with the fame feverity as the Saxons fhall be punifhed ; f8 that one of the monarchs muft break his word, or there will be ftrange hanging on each Side, and innocent men muft {uffer for the perfidy of others.
