On Monday was brought into the road of Bafle- terre, 2 French floop taken by the privateer Little- Oliver. ' And Yefterday was brought in, a fhip underDautch Colours, by Capt. Gipfon, in'a Letter of Marque ‘ fhip belonging to Briftol. The third Inftant a Schoonér, bound from Corac- oa for Martineco, was carried into Antigua by the Lion Privateer, Capt. M’Leane. On the ‘6th a French privateer of 4 Guns was car- sied into St.'John’s by Capt. Roan, in the privatecr Frankland, of Barbados. ’ And we are informed that another, of 1z Guns, arrived there on Monday laft, being taken by his Majetty’s thip Amazon. Fuly 19. The French privateer carried into An- tigua the 1oth inftant mounted 10 Guns, and had 100 Men, of which about 30 were Negros. She had Jately taken the Brig Scorpion, Warren, from Rhode- Iland for Antigua. The ‘prifoners informed, that the following Veflels bound for Antigua from Glaf- gow, were carried into the French Iflands, viz. The Ketty, Scot, the Primrofe, ¥ oung, and the—Wood. His Majefty’s floop Weafel, fent into St. John's onThurfday laft, a retaken floop called the Neptune, Bowles, from Pifcataqua. The privateer thip Spry, of Philadel- rhia, has cairied into Antigua a Dutch fchooner, la- den with provifions for the French Ilands.—This fhip tcok a rrench flag of truce in Delaware Ray, which was fmuggiing upon the coaft, with 300 hog- fheads of {ugar and other goods on board.
