Anderson of Percival avenue, Kensington, collided Monkiewicz was traveling toward New Britain and Mrs. Anderson was going toward Kensington when the cars met in such a way that Mon- Kiewicz's rear fender hooked the left front fender of the car driven by the Kensington woman. Kensing- ton, to Herbert B. Morrell of Brookiyn, N. Y., was announced at & fudge party last night. Miss Hall is o graduate of Bates coliege and for two years was h- ing in Topeka, Kansas. She is now employed on the faculty of the Ber- lin Junior High school. Mr. Morrell is a graduate of Bates college, also, and has a degree from the Yale Divinity school. He is at present pastor of the Congregational church at Orient, Long Tsland. The date of the wedding has not been announced. Whist Party Last Night At a whist party given by Mrs. J. O'Connell at her home on Hotch- kiss street last night, Mrs. W. J. Fa- gan won first prize and Mrs. Robert Corr, second, and the consolation prize went to Mrs. Edward Ander- son. Auxiliary Meeting A good attendance was present at the meeting of the American Legion auxillary held in the Legion room of the town hall last night. Mrs. Lisie Ventres, chairman of the or- ganization, presided over the meet- ing, @nd the auxiliary had as its guest Miss Edith Hollister of Wind- sor, who is county president of aux- | iliary. Miss Hollister gave an inter- esting talk during the course of the meeting. Mrs. Jean Hooker had been sched- uled to speak at the meeting but was unable to be present. It was de- | cided last night that the auxiliary would give two dinners on Christ- | mas day to needy families and that an appropriation would be sent to the state headquarters, from which boxes will be sent out at Christmas time to the various soldiers' hos- pitals. It was also agreed upon that a children's party would be given for children of members of Bolton- Kasica post and the auxiliary on a day between Christmas and New | Year's.
