Tuesday witnessed the final round of the Women’s Fall Tournament out at the Shuttle Meadow club with Katheryn Swift defeating Bertha_Chpmberlain and ~winning for the second yeax"‘ thf championship title. HE outstanding social event of the week was the tea party which Mrs. Stanley Hart and Mrs. Donald MacMillan gave ' out at the Shuttle Meadow club Wednesday afternoon bringing +* together more than one hundred persons and marking the . second big tea with which these popular young matrons have " entertained their friends. This year’s function saw many of - the guests in trailing gowns and the new off the forehead hats. . Despite the fact that dame fashion has decreed black the :- season’s color, the majority of the frocks were of brither hue. .
