LANDLORD FORBIDS FUNERAL IN HOUSE Son-in-Law of Dead Woman De- termined to Carry Out Plans Unless an injunction is served on him in the meantime, Herman ‘Wunsch, 24 Konstin Place, will have funeral serviges held at 8:30 o'clock tomorrow morning in his home for his mother-in-law, Mrs. Rose Jasas, aged 57, who died yesterday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mildred Bilk, 66 Mansfield street, Hartford. Last night Wunsch complained to police that his landlord, Anthony Meizlaskas, refused to allow him to bring the body of his mother-in-law to his home. The objection, Wunach said, was that it might be difficult to rent the tenemernt later should it become known that a funeral had been held there. Lieutenant Matthias Rival told ‘Wunsch that there was nothing po- lice could do about the matter. The man then appealed to an attorney and was told that the only way the landlord could stop his bringing the body to the house wbuld be by get- ting an injunction. Mass will be read for Mrs. Jasas at 9 o'clock in St. Andrew’s church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery. Plane Kidnaping Probe Paris, April 15 (M — Frederic Stork, wealthy Dutch shipping man, today asked the Paris po- lice to investigate the alleged air- plane kidnaping of his seven year old daughter, Margareta. He especially asked them to interro- gate his divorced American wife, whom he married as Christian Kramer in the United States 19 years ago. The shipping man alleged that his former wife and her present husband, named Storm, met the girl .as she left school in Laren, Holland, November 19, and took her by air to Elberfeld, Germany, and from there to Paris. The po- lice reported that- the woman, her husband, and the girl left their Paris apartment before | officers arrived. i GITY"3. D0G POUND WILL BE IMPROVED Ald. Falk Calls Attention to Need for Changes Alderman Walter R. Falk of the second ward has called the attention of Councilman W. §. Scheuy, chair- man of the committee in charge of building the dog pound on the town farm property, to the need for bet- ter facilities for confining impound- ed canines, and the chairman plans to inspect the pound next Sunday with the idea in mind of installing proper cages or better chains than are now in use. Cages would have been installed when the pound was built except for the lack of sufficient funds, Councilman Scheuy told Alderman Falk, The latter told of seeing sev- eral dogs almost strangling them- selves by becoming caught in the chains, and he also remarked that keys to the pound should be avail- able cither at the police department headquarters or the town farm. It is possible that a parenthetical note mentioning what the individual bills are for may be included in the list in the future, as a result of Councllman Gibney's suggestion.
