Investigation of the narcotic syn- dicate which Rothstein is believed to have financed—at 180 per cent interest—today brought a charge by Representative Stephen C. that narcotic manufacturers in six countries in Europe were not keep- ing, the agreement of the Hague oplum convention of 1912. This agreement provided that the manu. | facture of narcotics would be limit- ed for medical purposes only. Not Kept Representative Porter, a member of the foreign relations committee of: congress, said it was “perfectly obvious to anyone” that the agree- ment was not being kept. He came heve: 'with Col. They are excellent in | connection with milk, but is it some- times hard to get children to eat them? % | A judicious and reasonable amount of sucar added to these foods will work wonders in making them palatable, tasteful and enjoy able. No ingredient adds so much to the taste appeal of other foods Sugar adds to the enjoyment of all kinds of fresh fruits and vegetables, so valuable in the diet of growina children. Use suvar as a condiment in making healthful foods accept- able to the palate. Sweetness, as the perfact flavor in foods, stimu. lates the flow of saliva and of gas. tric juice, thereby aiding digestion as well as enjoyment. Medical authorities warn parents to guard the nutrition of their chil dren.
