WEATHER FAILY G00D FOR FLIGHT Kimball Believes Airship Will Encounter But Local Storms New York, Oct. 12 (M—Generally favorable weather conditions pre- wall over the Indicated ocean course @f the Grat Zeppelin on her fligit to America, Dr. James H. Kimbali of the weather bureau told the As- sociated Press today. “Of course the ship will encoun- ter local storms’ he said, “for there are always local storms over the Atlantic, but there are no gen- eral storms indicated, so far as re- ports to the bureau show.” Dr. Kimball, who is au authority | on ocean flight weather conditfons, expressed his admiration for ‘the “unusually good navigation judg- ment” of the Zeppelin's skipper. He pointed out that by taking the courss he did, Dr. Hugo Eckener is now taking advantage of the fav- orable nortasast trade winds which prevail .over a good part of the general steamship lanes. In taking the poutherly course hefore heading westward toward America, Dr. Kim- ball said, the Zeppelin partly avoid- @4 bucking strong headwinds which would have retarded progress. It was raining over the Azores last night, Dr. Kimball said, but he did not believe the local storm there would be any particular handicap to the Zeppelin. , TRINITY CHURCH CONCERT BY GLORIA TRUMPETERS R | Brass Quartet of New York to Play | in This City Sunday Evening On Sunday evening at Trinity Methodist church the Gloria Trum- | peters, famous brass quartet of New York will present a musical program to which the public is invited.
