He told the police his mothe and stepfather had quarreled ear ler in the evening when the later accused his wife of meeting other men. Mrs. Taylor, who is 30 years old. was taken to the Lincoln hospital with & bullet wound through the mouth and two through the chest. Young Whitehead said he had prevailed upon his stepfather to leave the apartment after their early quarrel but that Taylor later return- ed and shot his wife while she was resting in bed.
