Hungerford in police court thi morning on the charge of violation of the law relative to the standard of milk offered for public consump- | tion. He pleaded not gullty and ex- | pressed surprise at the testimony of | Chester 8. Bowers, health depart- | ment bacteriologist, that six samples | of milk taken from Badgian's farm | were below standard. He said milk has been sold from his place for vears and has always met the re. quirements of the law. Joseph Hultgren of Lake Bou vard, a dealer who buys milk from Badgian, testifled that his suspiclons as to the quality of the product were aroused by its appearance and he reported to the health department. Dr. R. W. Pullen, superintendent of health, testified to receiving the re- port from Mr. Hultgren and Mr, Bowers (estified to the analysis.
