M. Paonessa argued for this and other improve- ments, and Councilman David L. Nalr suggested changes along the line of the mayor's argument. The Oak street line, operated by Nocco Cacchillo has {ts present terminal at Commonwealth avenue and Carlton street, and it was re- quested that an extension to Stanley sireet be allowed, Cacchillo origin- ally asked an extension to the park entrance, but belng informed there was opposition on the part of the raliremds committee of the common councll suggested a compromise, Supt. W, J, Bryan of the Con- nectigut Co, and Attorney Carpenter representing the same company weg- istered opposition, elaiming the trol- ley now furnishes adequate service. The petition was taken under visement, Councilman Nair asked that the second fure zone on tha inbound trip from Hartford be extended to the State Normal school.
