It fa- vors open houses to the end that more general pleasure and enjoy- ment be had from the large amount of money which must be spent on fraternity buildings in the near fu- ture, The spirit of exlsting inter- fraternity agreement must remain unimpaired; Yale college would suf- fer immeasurably from the magni- | fled inter-fraternity competition and |- the gonsequent exaggeration of fra- ternity Importance. The bill calls for a jall sentence and a fine for spectators caught at a cock fight, dog fight, ete. Representative Alling the bill by request, giving no inti- matlon whether he was in sympathy with it or not. The bill has to go before the judiclary committee and lature. . Senator Hall explained that the subway bonds were dependent sole- ly on the bill he had introduced this | session allowing subway bonds to | be ‘exempt from the 5 per cent rul- ling.
