The senators attending said the [president himself expressed no views regarding the treaty, nor did they | give any opinlon as to the probabil- itles of action by the senate, where opposition already has developed that points to a long fight whenever it 1s brought to the floor. The president's guests sald the two hours and a half spent around the White House dinner table passed without mention of the senate reso- Jution, adopted a few hours before, calling on the state department for information concerning the Parls reparations agreement or of the world court or other pending mat- ters in the forelgn relations fleld. Chairman Borah sald that while he expressed ne opinion as to -the prospects for senafe action on the Lausanne treaty, his own view was that proposals for American adher- ence to the world court should take precedence.
