Lengthy debates are expected when the text Is finally presented to the full commission on arma- ments, and subsequéntly. to the as- sembly itself. Preliminary plans for the disarm- ament conference to be held here next June provide that the canfer- encé arrangements shall be placed in the hands of the disarmament commission ot the league, otherwise known as ‘the temporary K mixed commission. Y, Sept. 22— Held up and rébbed near here last night by two men who sald they were officers, Mr. and Mrs. W, H, Marsh of Plattsburgh, chased the pair to. Warrensburg where the chase endedswhen the Marsh auto- mobile struck an obstacle and Mrs, Marsh was thrown through a fence. Smith boarded at Dougherty's hdfe. Trapdoor Causes Death Of Brooklyn Woman Thomaston, Sept. 22.—Mrs. Mary E. Tucker, 70, of Brooklyn, N. Y,, ied here yesterday of a fractured &kull, two hours after she had fallen through a trapdoor on the porch of the home of Dr. H. S. Warner, with whose family she was visiting. The woman's eyesight was very poor and she held a plate of fruit in her hands which prevented her from seeing the trapdoor in front of her. Marks, who was known to the police as “Kid Portchester,” was at liberty in $10,000 bail in connection with the slaying of Robert Simon of Brooklyn, last June.
