' WOMAN' INFERIOR T0 MAN IS ISSUE Scriptural Principle Comes Up Before Preshyterian Conference By the Assoclated Pre San Antonio, Tex, May 17,—"The fubordination of woman to man,” as! a scriptural principle of the terian church in the again is a living issue before the eral assembly of the church row in its 041l session here. A year ago this auestion was settled in favor of wom- en by dction of the assembly in Preshy- United gen- ad- mitting them to exceutive committees | of the assembly. The issue been #iving trouble since then ,according to 1 reports filed by several Presbyteries, and today the assembly has before it at least ten overtures from various sections of the country some de- manding that women be excluded from the committees and pro- testing any change in the 1923 action.
