Berlin Man Tells Lions What Banks Are and Do At a meeting of the Lions club at the Burritt hotel this noon, Francis P. surer of the Berlin Sav- spoke on “Suburban He said that the savings bank was primarily a New England institution nd that over 80 per cent of the sav- mgs banks of the country were locat ed in the east, the greater part them being in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Speaking of the main features of a savings bank, Mr. Dem- ing said that a savings bank was more of & cooperat ancial organization than a bank.
