Speaking of Sports The Buéll street tennis club, hav- ing completed a successful tourna- ment, is confident that it can show other clubs something about the fine polts of the game and is seewing victims. Manager Leavitt will be glad to correspond on this subject. The baseball season in New Britain will not be complete until the fire- men and police meet on the diamond. Several years have passed since the two departments clashed and th for- mr were victorious., It would pro- mote public interest in the depart- ments and would probably prove beneficial to-the relief and pension funds. Get busy, Commercial street- ers. Another boy with an angelic name falls to live up to his cognomen. When Refereq McAuliffe declared Johnny Bhugrue winner of the bout with Chie Brown at New Haven last night, Brown's brother, Angelo Amato, leaped to his fet and made a swing at “Mc.” The referee, who knows something about the game of hit and step, swung back and Angelo went toppling into thé crowd. This is Angelo's second offense. For the good of the game he should be barred from attending bexing bouts in which his brother participates. After ‘holding the lead the greater part of the season, the Hartford team has slipped into sccond place in the Eastern league, with the New Haven club setting thé pace. The Senators took ' another thumping yesterday from the lowly Allany club. Abe Goldstein and Danny Edwards clash in a 15-round bout tonight at Long Island City.
