THO WOMEN ARE " FOUND MURDERED Bodies *Dismembered and Placed * in Boxes—Man Is Held Medford, Mass., Aug. 14.—Ninie G. Tsekos of Franklin, N. H., was ar- rested here early today charged with murder after two boxes containing the dismembered bodies of two wom- en were found in a field hére. police said Tsekos had canfessed that he killed his wife, Natalie, and her mother, Mrs. Katherine Adams, last Saturday night. Tsekos, an Albanian by birth, has been employed in a paper mill in Franklin. According to the alleged confession, he quarreled with his wite and " her mother at their home in Franklin Saturday night over money and that they attacked him with a| bat and a knife. He said that he overpowered them and then stabbed his wife in the breast and cut Mrs. Adams’' throat. He dragged their bodies to the cellar. Put Bodies in Boxes. Sunday morning, the confession continues, he took his three small children and was driven to Boston in an automobile by Charles A. Clarke of Franklin. He left the children at his mother’s home on Barton street in the north end of Boston and re- turned home. Sunday night, he said, he- went to the cellar, dismembered the two Bodies with a knife and put them in two wooden boxes, nailing the covers down. Tsekos told the police that on Mon- day morning he arranged with Clarke to drive him to Boston, again offer- ing him $25. They started late in the day with the two boxes in the car. Auto Driver Suspicious. When they were near Lowell last night, Clarke told the police he be- came suspicious as to the contents of the boxes and feeling of one of them deteetad a wet spot which appeared to him to be blood. On some pre- text he stopped the car, got out and notified a policeman, who said he would report the matter to headquar- ters, but did not appear to think it necessary to take any immediate ac- tion. Clarke then decided to drive on. Late at night the two men reached West Medford. Finding a bridge closed they stopped. larke said that Tsekos carried the boxes into a field, While he was doing this' Clarke put his finger into a hole in one of the boxes and thought he feit flesh. He ran down the street and told his story to the first policeman he met. The officer at once notified police headquarters and then went with Clarke to the field where the boxes were found. Arrest Made. Early today, atrolman John O’Gorman, on duty in Medford square, saw a man running down High street, | evidently intending to board a trol-| ley car. He ran after him, placed him under arrest and took him to the police station. There the man admitted that he was Tsekos. His alleged confession was made in the presence of the chief of police. When the assistant district attorney arrived at the station later with a stenograph- er-Tsekos refused to repeat his story. | Tsekos was arraigned in the Mn.!don district court and peladed not gullty to the charge of murder. He was| held without bail to await the arrival| of officers from Franklin, N. H. Ip one of the boxes was found the| body of Mrs. Adams, cut in nine pieces | the torso showing two stab wounds in| the left breast. The other box con-| tdined the body of Mrs. Tsekos, which M\Ln eight pieces and showed six stab wounds. Both bodies were wrap- péd in heavy oiled paper, covered by cardboard and burlap.
