Not much hope is held out for his re- covery, Hayer, who has been in this coun- try but eight days coming from Ger- many, resides with relatives at the above address. He was unacquainted with water conditions at the Rock. After swimming around for some time he decided to dive. He plunged into i shallow water his head hitting a rock, breaking his neck and injuring his head. Harry Hill, 24, of ‘13 FElizabeth street, who broke his neck while div- ing at a clay pit pool in North Ha- ven a short time ago is resting com- fortably in the New Haven hospital and is expected to recover.
