A complication set in and all hope for him was given up yesterday afternoon. He was born in Germany and came to this country a number of years ago, settling in Brooklyn, N. Y. When thhe Civil War broke out, he enlisted in the Union Army and served throughout the four years of the war. He came to Plainville about 15 years ago and went to work In Sessions Clock Co. in IForestville where he was a master woodearver, His extraordinary skill in this work scon brought him recognition from others besides his employers and| many products of his creation are on | exhibition in many places.
