JUBILEE AT SEMINARY | Twenty-fifth Anniversary of Founding of St. Hartford, Being Observed by Alumni Today. The 26th anniversary of the foun- dation of St. Thomas’' Seminary in Hartford is being observed at the in- stitution today, with a general re- union of the alumni and student body. The seminary was founded 25 years ago by the late Right Rev. Michael Tierney, bishop of the Hartford dlo- cese, as a preparatory school for boys who intended studying for the Catho- lic priesthood. During its existence, hundreds of young men from all over the state and points ctsewhere have attended and graduated, the majority of them entering the grand seminar- ies to further their priestly studies, and a great many of them taking up various other lines and professions. New Britain was always largely represented at the school by a body of young men, and many of them, later on, were ordained and came back to this city to celebrate their first mass. A large number of them visited the seminary today, to renew Thomas’, Friday and Saturday.
