E. Riegger, Salesman, Takes Poison in a Detroit Hotel Detroit, Dec. 14—H. E. Riegger of | New York, salesman for the Goodman Manufacturing company of New York, died as he was being carried into Re- celving hospital yesterday, a suicide. Riegger was found unconscious in his room at a downtown hotel by a chambermaid. A partly empty bottle ‘of poison and several notes were be- side him. Riegger had been at the hotel since Dec. 7. One of the notes, addressed /to the local manager, requested the management to send his wife his watch, chain, knife and diamond ring. In another note Riegger gave his name and address; his connection with the manufacturing firm, and the name of his wife and 9 year old son. “I am not giving you the motive for my act,” said the note, “as I do not wish it made public.
