The proposal price will be 10 cents per 100 cubic feet. The officials of the Kensington fire district are now considering bids on the surveying of i the district in preparation of hearing bids for the laying of the water mains. James J. IMitzsimons of the IKen- sington committee said this morning that in some of the bids already re- ceived it is stated that a survey can be completed by March 1. If this is the case, and the common council of New Britain acts immediately on the matter, the residents of Kensington will probably have running water within one year's time. IFrancis Deming, a member of the Worthington fire district said this morning that the Worthington trict will not be able to take action until the Kensington district com- pletes plans. The City of New Brit- pin intends laying the water mains as far as the town line. Irom here it will be necessary for the Kensing- ton district' to lay the mains as far as Jacob's corner near the old fair grounds on Ifarmington avenue. 'I‘hn‘ Worthington fire district water mains will be connected at this point and the water brought into that section of the town. Drive Nets $5,690.
